Couples Weekend plus One

We rented a cabin in Nisswa this past weekend with 2 other couples and Sarah.  We left Friday morning after a morning of cleaning up after Kaitlyn as she did not feel well.  (As Kaitlyn would say - Don't say those words mom.)  Nate's mom graciously came down to watch the kids and take care of Kaitlyn while she was under the weather.

Friday we shared many adult beverages and played lots of games.  Sorry no pictures were taken as we weren't allowed to have our phones.  Mine was actually taken away from me and hidden in a secret spot.

Saturday the weather was perfect for some ice fishing on Gull Lake.

Sunday we headed to Ski Gull for some snow tubing!  It was so much fun!  This was probably the highlight of our couples plus 1 weekend.

We had a great LONG weekend.  Lots of fun, drinks, games, Karaoke, and laughing.  Can't wait for next years couples weekend (or Tropical vacation?)

Swimming Lessons for Gavin

We started Gavin in swimming lessons this week.  We decided for him to start at Foss as they are amazing.  Gavin is not a big fan of getting water on his face, so this is the perfect place for him to learn how to swim.  The water is 91 degrees and the instructors are awesome.  Here are some pictures of Gavin's first lesson.

My Mom's New Place

At the end of November we moved my mom out of her apartment in Mound.  She temporarily moved into our house until we could move her into an assisted living place.  It was nice to have her close during the holidays, but we were excited for to move into her new place.

We found a great facility about 30 minutes from our house.  We moved her in a few days ago and she loves it.  She has met some great people and is enjoying her own space with the help from an amazing staff.

We were very fortunate to find this facility.  They just recently opened up a new wing and it is beautiful.  We are so thankful for the amazing staff who have made my mom feel at home.

New Years Day - Fun on the Lake

New Years Day we headed over to Aimee and Steve's for some outdoor fun.  The weather was perfect to celebrate the first day of 2015.  We played some boot hockey, did some ice skating, and some sledding behind the four wheeler.

Gavin wasn't a big fan of walking on the clear ice.  It was pretty slippery so he stayed close to the snow.
