Our adventure started on a Friday evening about 7pm. We loaded up the Chevy and the Ford and headed to warmer climates.
Nate took the first part of the drive which he ended up driving for 14 hours before stopping just past Nashville for breakfast. I drove the scenic route from Nashville to Atlanta which was a little nerve racking because of the mountains, but I survived with white knuckle driving and all.
We finally arrived in Homosassa, FL around 9:30 pm on Saturday night. We quickly unloaded the vehicles. Aimee and I headed to Walmart to get food and other supplies while the guys unpacked, set-up beds, and got the pool activities started. All 5 kids did great. Gavin who had a rough time in the carseat until we let him stream Netflix in the truck. That was the best $30 we every spent on the trip to raise our data usage on our cell phone plan.
Sunday we took the kids to the Ocean! They loved being able to be outside enjoying the water and sand.
Brayden and Ashlynn in the Ocean for the first time.
Kaitlyn and Kaylee playing in the sand.
We buried Kaitlyn in the sand.
Aimee and I enjoying our new beach chairs.
Kaitlyn volunteered to get buried in the sand.
Gavin had too much fun at the beach! He fell asleep on the way back home.
We were staying at Aimee's Dad's house. He hadn't moved in yet, so we did a little camping in the house. The house had a pool that we enjoyed everyday.

We saw lots of different animals as we made our way around the park. It was fun to be outside without hats, gloves, and jackets. There will be more pictures and adventures on my next blog post.
