Wreath

I am not very crafty.  I wish I was but it is just not part of my skill set.  A friend puts together a wreath making night in Mayer for all her lady friends.  I had a great time making my wreath.  Niki made the ribbon and got my greenery started... but I created the "Frozen" theme wreath.

Front Page News

We were in Mora getting ready for Nate's parent's 40th Wedding anniversary party when we saw Santa across the street.  The kids were so excited to go over there to see Santa.  We waited for everyone to finish singing for their tree lighting ceremony before we could talk to Santa.  We had no idea that someone was taking pictures for the Kanabec Times.

Surprise Kaitlyn, Hailey, Gavin, and I made front page news.

Turkey Trot 5K

Jenny, her sister Angela, and myself ran the Chaska Turkey Trot in Chaska.  It was pretty cold out in November but we layered up and survived.  My dad came and watch the kids while we ran the 5K.  I ran a little slower because of the cold and wind, but it was still fun.

City Council

It's official.  I will be starting my four year term as a City Council Member in Mayer.  I spent the past several months campaigning for this position.  There were four of use running for the two open spots. I put up signs, pasted out fliers, and participated in a forum.  It was a great experience.  All my hard work paid off and I was elected on November 4th.

On Election night I headed up to city hall when the polls closed.  Here were the votes before absentee ballads were counted.

The official results were:
Nikki McNeilly - 392
Erick Boder - 268
Krista Goedel - 261
Kenneth Jeffery Olson - 90
Write-in - 17

My term starts in January 2015 and I am excited to see what the next four years brings.

Here is the flier I passed out.  I went door to door on roller blades.  Not sure if I was elected for how many times I almost fell doing up and down peoples front steps.

Day at the Farm

Sunday we headed down to David's land south of the cities.  The weather was perfect for a hayride, bonfire, and hot chocolate.  Thank you to Aimee's mom Jan and her husband David for allowing our family to join in on the festivities.  So much fun!
