New Years Eve - Justin and Jennifer Ogg

New Years we headed to celebrate the marriage of our good friends Justin and Jenny.  They had some late minute changes to who was able to marry them, that they asked Nate if he would do the honor.  (I guess a few months earlier Nate jokingly stated to Justin he would marry them.)  So, Nate went online and can now officiate a wedding in the State of Minnesota.

Exchanging the vows.

Nate did a great job and even added it some funny parts.  Thanks Jenny and Justin for letting us be part of your day.

Daughter Day turns into Family Day

After our morning of painting and lunch at Applebees we all headed back to Waverly for some snowmobiling.  There was not a lot of snow on the trails so we headed out on the lake for some much needed fresh air.

All the helmets lined up and ready!

Getting ready!

Mommy and Daughter Date Day

Aimee and I surprised Kaitlyn and Kaylee with a mommy and daughter morning.  We headed to the Paint Factory in Hutchinson to paint an Elsa picture.  The girls had a great time painting and drinking hot chocolate.

Christmas Eve (After party) and Christmas Day

Santa came Christmas morning.  Gavin was so excited that he started opening his stocking and gifts before the rest of us got downstairs.
Cookies, milk, and carrots for Santa and the reindeer!  The cookies were fresh out of the oven too.

and the stockings were hung.....

My dad got both kids tent beds.  (My sister and I got tent beds for Christmas one year when we were younger so it was fun for my kids to have the same memory.)

Ready for bed and for Santa to come.

Snuggled in her new sleeping bag too.
Sorry for the blurry picture, but it's hard to have them sit still when Santa came.

We had no snow for Christmas and the weather was beautiful.  We headed outside to burn some boxes and enjoy the nice weather.

Bonfire on Christmas - doesn't happen often.

Surprise Visit

I surprised my mom the day after her birthday by contacting her old friend Dianne and her husband Kevin.  My mom has lost touch with Dianne when she moved back to Minnesota five years ago. They came over on Sunday to visit with my mom.

Canada Pacific Holiday Train

For my mom's 64th birthday we surprised with a trip to see the CP Holiday train in Loretto.  Home Free (her favorite acapella group) was performing.  The Holiday train is a train that is decorated with hundreds of Christmas lights.  It traveled all over MN, ND, and Canada collecting non-perishable food and providing free entertainment.  There was probably 10,000 people at the Loretto stop, but we got there early enough to get a good view of the performing stage.  We had a great time.
I took this picture from the internet.  My pictures didn't do the train justice.
