Every year New Germany hosts a Fireman's Softball Tournament. Fire Departments from around the area play in a double elimination tournament. It's starts Friday night and usually ends sometime on Sunday. The weekend also has other competitions going on throughout the weekend. First the beer drinking contest... Mayer has won this trophy several years in a row. Second - Hot Dog eating contest... Mayer also seems to win this competition. Third - The wives play a double elimination Volleyball Tournament on Saturday.
Here are all the guys after a long weekend of softball. We got 4th place!!! Way to go guys!

All of our trophies! First place for Hot Dog, First place for beer. (If you look closely we had 1,045 beers) and 2nd place for Volleyball. Another successful year for Mayer Fire.
